Cindy Geyer, MD
Medical Director
Canyon Ranch – Lenox, MA

Dr. Geyer is the medical director at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA where she has practiced for 21 years. She is board certified in internal medicine, integrative medicine, and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Geyer is a core faculty member at The Center for Mind-Body Medicine’s “Food as Medicine” conference, has served on the Board of Directors for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and is the case series editor for the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Geyer received her doctor of medicine degree, with honors, from the Ohio State University.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss the relationship between dementia, elevated amyloid plaque, and inflammation.
  • Analyze what is known and what is not known about Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
  • Identify the correlation between healthy lifestyles, vascular health, and risk for dementia.

Program meets the requirements for nursing contact hours as specified by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing – 244 CMR 5.04.

Nursing Home Administrators

Berkshire AHEC is recognized as an approved provider by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Nursing Home Administrators to offer continuing education credits for nursing home administrators. Provider NH-09015-002.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists

This activity has been certified by NEAFAST on behalf of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Mental Health & Human Services Professions, for LMFT professional continuing education. Certification #PC- 040383.

Successful Completion Requirements for Continuing Education Credits

Participants must sign-in and out, attend the entire program, and complete a program evaluation to receive continuing education credits. Certificates will be distributed to participants at the end of the program.

Refunds

A refund minus a $15 processing charge is only available up until two weeks prior to a conference.

Cancellation

Berkshire AHEC reserves the right to cancel a program due to low registration, speaker cancellation, or other uncontrollable circumstances. Notice of cancellation will be provided to registrants by phone, email, and on the berkshireahec.org website. Refunds will be issued within 14 days of a canceled program.
