This workshop aims to educate anyone who may work in school settings:

  • Teachers
  • Administrators
  • Nurses
  • Mental Health Professionals

About the current applicable laws regarding language access and how they are to be properly dealt with in the current pandemic. It also aims to provide guidelines regarding best practices for remote interpreting in school settings given the current pandemic.

CCHI Medical Interpreter Accredited by CCHI’s CEAP for 1.25 CE hours, ID #09293
IMIA Medical Interpreter This course has been approved to provide 0.125 IMIA/NBCMI CEUs – Education Registry ID 20-1116.
Social Worker This program has been approved for 1 Social Work Continuing Education hour for relicensure, in accordance with 258 CMR. NASW-MA Chapter CE Approving Program, Authorization Number D 81607.
LMHC This program has been approved for 1.25 Category II MaMHCA hours for re-licensure, in accordance with 262 CMR.
Psychology CE credits for psychologists are provided by the Spiritual Competency Resource Center (SCRC) which is co‑sponsoring this program. The Spiritual Competency Resource Center is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Spiritual Competency Resource Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content. No NBCC credit is available or offered for this program

Successful Completion Requirements for Continuing Education Credits
Participants must sign-in and out, attend the entire program, and complete a program evaluation to receive continuing education credits. Certificates will be distributed to participants by mail after the program.

If you are hearing impaired, or are a person who is differently abled who requires accommodations, please contact Berkshire AHEC 15 days prior to the training.

Refunds
A refund of the continuing education fee, minus a $5 processing charge, is only available up until two weeks prior to a conference.

Cancellation
Berkshire AHEC reserves the right to cancel a program due to low registration, speaker cancellation, or other uncontrollable circumstances. Notice of cancellation will be provided to registrants by phone, email, and on the berkshireahec.org website. Refunds will be issued within two weeks of a canceled program.
