Driving Decisions

$30.00It’s a fact that people get older every day. With increasing age come changes in physical, mental and sensory abilities that can challenge a person’s continued ability to drive safely. One of the more difficult issues facing older adults, their families, friends, and health care providers is how to accurately identify when driving is unsafe, and what to do about it.

Learning Objectives: At the end of the program, the participant will be able to:
– Recognize factors that lead to collisions;
– Summarize issues faced when interacting with an older driver who may be at-risk;
– Describe the Massachusetts’ reporting procedures;
– Describe the Safe Driver Law as it pertains to policies for older drivers;
– Describe the disability placard application process;
– Summarize the components of a driving evaluation.

Registration Fee: $30, if paid by Wednesday, October 21, 2015
Walk In Fee: $40, if paid after October 21, 2015
