Moral injury originally described the wound caused when service members violated their own deeply held values in the context of war. For veterans, moral injury often presents concurrently with post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury. However, the path of healing from moral injury is very different than healing from PTSD or TBI. This workshop will describe moral injury and the circumstances that can cause it; offer several effective paths for healing and will touch on “moral injury” as it may be experienced by other service providers, such as medical personnel, police officers and social workers.
Pre-registration required. Pre-requisite, attend BattleMind Plus on 11/3/21
