About the Savvy Caregiver Program (SCP): The SCP is a training program for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease. It is based on the notion that family members who become caregivers assume a role-caregiving-for which they are unprepared and untrained. The program focuses on helping caregivers to acquire and strengthen knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are appropriate for the role they have undertaken.

About the Training: This program will be delivered in two (2) full days

Dates: (Day 1) 10/21/15 and (Day 2) 10/22/15
Time: 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM       Registration Starts: 8:30 AM
Location: Home Instead Senior Care, Conference Room

Cost: $25.00 – this fee covers program fee and manual **A Light lunch will be provided

Program Objectives:

• Help Caregivers appreciate the scope and impact of their work
• Increase Caregiver’s skills and knowledge for Caregiving
• Help Caregivers adopt a more strategic outlook on their work
• Help Caregivers develop more effective strategies for caregiving
• Improve Caregiver’s self –care skills
• Reduce the potential adverse impacts of Caregiving
• Improve the quality of life of care recipients
• Increase involvement of families and other resources
