As part of Berkshire AHEC’s ongoing mission to provide relevant training, I’m pleased to invite you to a free HPV webinar sponsored by the National AHEC Organization. “You are the Key to HPV Cancer Prevention ” is set for 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jan. 14. This training, conducted by Dr. Robin Curtis of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will describe the burden of HPV disease; define the importance of HPV vaccination for cancer prevention; explain the rationale for vaccinating youth at ages 11 or 12; list the recommendations for HPV vaccine for girls and for boys; provide useful and compelling information about HPV vaccine to parents to aid in making the decision to vaccinate; locate resources relevant to current immunization practice; provide appropriate care and counsel for patients and their families; and provide accurate and appropriate counsel as part of the treatment team.

One hour of credit will be awarded upon attendance by Postgraduate Institute of Medicine: ACCME credit hours for physicians; ANCC contact hours for nurses: ACPE contact hours for pharmacists. For others, a certificate of attendance can be issued upon request.
