This program is designed to lead participants through an understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and its unique culture, language, and health disparities. The goal is to improve communication and knowledge in healthcare delivery in an affirming environment.

Accreditation
Berkshire AHEC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5585. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Berkshire AHEC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Berkshire AHEC is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Association Massachusetts an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This course has been approved by Berkshire AHEC, as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for 1.5 CE. NAADAC Provider #103559, Berkshire AHEC is responsible for all aspects of its programing.

Successful Completion Requirements for Continuing Education Credits
Participants must sign-in and out, attend the entire program, and complete a program evaluation to receive continuing education credits. Certificates will be distributed to participants at the end of the program.

If you are hearing impaired, or are a person who is differently abled who requires accommodations, please contact Berkshire AHEC 15 days prior to the training.
Refunds
A refund of the continuing education fee, minus a $5 processing charge, is only available up until two weeks prior to a conference.
Cancellation
Berkshire AHEC reserves the right to cancel a program due to low registration, speaker cancellation, or other uncontrollable circumstances. Notice of cancellation will be provided to registrants by phone, email, and on the berkshireahec.org website. Refunds will be issued within 14 days of a canceled program.
Disclosure Policy
It is the policy of Berkshire AHEC to ensure balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all its individually and jointly sponsored programs. All planners and faculty participating in Berkshire AHEC programs are expected to disclose any conflicts of interest that they or their spouse/partner may have that has a direct bearing on the content of the continuing education program.
