Berkshire Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by American Nurses Association Massachusetts, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Berkshire AHEC is an approved education provider of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).
Massachusetts Board of Nursing Home Administrators to provide education credits for nursing home administrators.
National Board for Certified Counselors Berkshire AHEC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5585.
Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Berkshire AHEC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Berkshire AHEC meets the requirements for contact hours for the following professions: Dental Assistants, Registered Dental Hygienists, Registered Dieticians
Berkshire AHEC provides Psychologists CE credits through the Spiritual Competency Resource Center, which is co-sponsoring this program. The Spiritual Competency Resource Center is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Spiritual Competency Resource Center maintains responsibility for these programs and their content.
Berkshire AHEC plans and implements activities in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the University of Massachusetts Medical School office of Continuing Medical education (UMMS-OCME) and Berkshire AHEC. The UMMS-OCME is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
