In the past year since COVID‑19 emerged, much has been learned about the impacts of the disease. This program will focus on the self‑care and resiliency of healthcare providers during the COVID‑19 pandemic.

  • Explain the importance of self-care for healthcare professionals during the pandemic
  • Discuss the impact of secondary traumatic stress on a healthcare professional’s physical and mental health during the pandemic
  • Use self-care strategies and tools to protect and promote well-being and resilience during the pandemic
  • Demonstrate how to have difficult discussions about health care planning and end of life with those affected by COVID 19
  • Use self-care strategies to deal with the loss, grief, and bereavement of a patient, colleague or loved one due to COVID 19
